And the rain falls. Not exactly what you want to see when you're attending a motorcycle rally. For the last two nights we've had severe storms with spectacular lightening shows. Fortunately we haven't had any severe wind, but it's been enjoyable to sit under the canopy and watch the storm come in over the hills.
Yesterday three of us became airborn!! Tom offered to take us flying over the Black Hills in his twin engine six seater plane. What a fantastic opportunity. Because of Tom's past history and current connections he was able to get special dispensation to fly closer to Mount Rushmore than normal. So I got some great shots - take a look:

STUNNING!!! What a neat opportunity
ReplyDeleteOh, how I wish I could have been in one of those seats! Great view of Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse---have not seen that in many years. Good to see the Indian finally has a nose. And the landing---perfect. This pilot knows what he is doing. So glad you had a good time. Rain here in Montana too. Very unusual.
ReplyDeletewow that was soooo cool! Is that a private charter or was a friend of yours flying?
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen Crazy Horse in a while but Rushmore looks Great!
